DAILY NEWS: "How Green Is My Roof"

Nine-year-old Michael Blattstein knows how to get things done. He wanted a putting green on the roof of his condominium complex in White Plains, so he talked to a member of the board - his dad - and that's how a state of the art putting surface was installed on the Rec Deck at Trump Tower City Center. Designed and installed by Home Green Advantage, an Armonk-based company, the green features tiers and swales unlike most rooftop greens. It also runs between 13 and 14 on the Stimpmeter. Michael Lehrer of Home Green Advantage has created 390 greens and golf holes, including par fours, for backyards and rooftops, including several in Manhattan. One overlooks Lincoln Center from 40 stories high. Lehrer built his first golf hole in his own back yard in Bedford, did a couple for a few neighbors and soon he was shutting down his CPA practice to get into the golf business.
